一百多年前,中日两国之间通过一个刊物展开了戏剧交流,该刊物的名字叫《文艺俱乐部》,是东京博文馆发行的月刊杂志。从1906年到1913年,在短短八年间,登载于该刊的六部剧作由徐半梅等人翻译成汉语被介绍到中国。当时在中国,新剧(又称文明戏)的原创剧本很少。在这种情况下,从《文艺俱乐部》翻译过来的这些中文剧本对中国近代剧的发展起了很大的作用。这些剧作其实都是根据欧洲作家的作品翻译改编的。这说明,当时的中日两国对西方文学·戏剧的借鉴和吸收是有很多相似之处的。
Abstract:
A century ago, a magazine became a vehicle for a form of dramatic exchange between China and Japan. Titled Bungei Club, it was a monthly published by Hakubunkan in Tokyo. In a mere eight years, from 1906 to 1913, six scripts appearing in the periodical were translated and introduced into China by actor and drama researcher Xu Banmei. In China at that time there were few original works of “new drama”, or “civilized drama” as it is also called. In this context, the dramatic works in Bungei Club introduced by way of translation are thought to have made an important contribution to the development of modern theatre in China. Moreover, most of those scripts had been translated and adapted from European works for the stage. This demonstrates that the Western literature and drama of the day were received by China and Japan in an analogous manner.
